Scary !!! There people are not allowed to enter the shops for health reasons !! In Β§ 1 (2) of the Bavarian Corona Protection Ordinance it is stated: "... people with disabilities and those with health restrictions can, if they are not able to do so, do without wearing the mouth and nose cover." In Β§ 2 (7) reference is made to this principle and a corresponding application for the stay, etc. referenced in stores and shops. It is further stated: βIn this respect, for reasons of protection against infection, use and stay in accordance with sentence 1 cannot be denied. This means that guests who cannot wear a mask for health reasons are not prevented from entering and shopping in your facility and / or may be expelled from the shop. However, that is exactly what happens regularly. Obviously, the staff here acts on instructions without having been informed of the legal consequences. The enforcement of house rules is repeatedly falsely argued. This procedure is not covered by the Bavarian Corona Protection Ordinance. Likewise, not wearing a mask is in no way subject to a fine.
Friendly staff, good selection of cakes. Can just be recommended.
The service was very friendly, good pastries and cakes. Great location right on the market square recommended.
Tasty regional cakes ???
Family business with a heart! Love, nice, friendly, clean, tidy ...... ... and the cake ... Mmmmm .... Simply delicious .... I felt transported back in time and thought I was with my grandma
The location on the market square is very good and the waitresses were nice too. But neither the local snowball nor the ice cream really tasted good.
The ice cream is nothing special. Neither vanilla tasted really like vanilla, nor did mocha taste like mocha. It was a mixture of slightly dark and tasty nougat and nuts. Isn't worth the money.
The cafeteria is very good, but in these times of corona they do not disinfect the tables !! The rest great
Average coffee but great location
I was there last Saturday. The service is very friendly. The service is great. 2 star deduction: No alternatives for people with a lactose intolerance. Rothenburg ob der Taube is very famous and ultimately a well-visited tourist town. So I expect more than what I actually got.
Small water and cappuccino ordered large water and double cappuccino. At the next table something similar, apparently systematic tourist rip off: tip down the street a little further.
Incredible, but true ... Corona is a bit exhausting for everyone, but the man behind the counter was absolutely overwhelmed with us. After we stopped briefly at the entrance, we took a seat. Then the man came rushing towards us (I emphasize) rushing with a waving hand, "get up, get up, that doesn't work. The table is busy. You can't just sit here" looking at the table next to it with the reserved sign, our answer thatβs nowhere. Funny statement that it would be at the entrance, which sign was unfortunately not seen at the 100 signs at the moment. He stood behind us and wanted to pull the chair away and take the jacket. We were totally scared. He then titled my husband as a big mouth, just because we then said a little angrily that he should stay relaxed and that we were already going and you could do it in a different way. Crazy, impossible and absolutely not recommendable given the other reviews.
Perfect place to have morning or afternoon tea, have a schneeballen - beautiful pastry dusted with icing sugar!! Wait till the clock goes off in the square!!
Friendliness is not very important here. The quality of the cakes and pies is not necessarily recommended. All in all a house that is better to go past. Too bad we were there with 8 people. A large drink should be ordered with the snowballs. Too bad .... no more stops here on the next visit.
Wonderful view of Rothenburg's market square (if you catch one of the few window seats). Food and drinks are very good, but the prices are very close to the border - for a tourist place unfortunately nothing unusual.
Its a very nice, family owned, good place to have a coffee and/or cake during your stay in Rothenburg odT. They have a big selection of cakes and cookies at the counter and you can even try the traditional "Schneebal" (to be honest, i'm not a fan). You get quite a big piece of cake but luckily its are not too heavy. The cafe has a nice interior and whilst seated inside you can see the market square. I liked the experience!
Nice cafΓ© (pastry shop) overlooking the historic marketplace. Cozy atmosphere with nice decor. Very friendly service. The coffees and the cake are excellent.
The cafe itself is very nicely decorated. For coffee and cake, I can not say anything, since we only have something to drink. However, the cake looked delicious. One of the waiters was a bit annoyed when someone put on the jacket and she did not come over. At least she was not friendly. That gives deductions in the rating.
Really nice German cafe :)
Beautiful house.
Here are some cream pies, small latte macchiato, modern interior and nice service.
Hectic service although not even half full. The coffee you could from the outset look to the bottom of the cup. On demand, maybe the machine is broken, there was a new one of the same "quality". And all for 2.60 β¬ !!!! Location is great, but that's about it. Absolutely not recommended. There are significantly better possibilities on site.
I really like their desserts, not too sweet, very good taste, plus a cup of rich latte. Let us remember.
Excellent place to enjoy a cold beer or enjoy a nice traditional dessert.
They have a really good spot to people watch and soak up the sun. Not much else that's spectacular.
It reminds me old school communists bakery, even this is western Germany. Definitely not he best thing here
